Yacht racing series

The SWAMBC Yachting Series has five rounds from April until September which are host by model boating clubs throughout the south west.

This series is for kit boats only, to keep it clear from the ‘hot’ racing 1 Metres and as far as possible these should be kept as near to original fittings using only kit supplied items. Sails, however, may be replaced with ones to the same overall dimensions, but made by the skipper or bought from a supplier. Where a kit part fails it may be replaced by a locally sourced item, especially as spares can be very hard to source, but it must operate in much the same way as the original part/fitting.
