Tug Towing

The SWAMBC Tug Towing Championship has 3 classes:

(you may enter a boat into any two class)

Team Tug Towing: A team must consist of 2 or 3 entrants each operating a tug. Two tugs must be tethered to the tow (usually a large model of tanker approx. 6ft long) either both on the bow or one on the bow and one on the stern. If a third tug is used it must sail untethered.

Single Tug Towing/Pusher Class:

One tug boat towing/pushing a pair of dumb barges, which are approx. 3ft each in length. The dumb barges may be either side by side or line astern - this will be decided by the host club originiser.
