UKRCC (United Kingdom Radio Control Council)
SWAMBC is a paid up member of this organisation which basically looks after the radio frequency needs of all radio controlled modellers, and interfaces with OFCOM the government organisation which monitors and controls the frequencies we use in the UK to control models.
The UKRCC also operates a frequency interference service, with interference to the modellers band and any alledge interference from any of the modellers bands.
The lastest news from the UKRCC AGM held in early November gave the awaited information from OFCOM of the future of the 27 Mhz band namely the question of when / if the old 25Khz spacing kit would become illeagl? With all new 27Mhz R/C transmitters and receivers imported since 2001 compling to the 10Khz spacing a total of 32 channels could be made available (but not all technically primary use for modellers) the statement from OFCOM states that the old 25Khz will not be made illeagl hence we will continue with the 12 channels available pleasing many modellers who have a full set of the old crystals.
